1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file (typically 4 KB) that a web server stores in a visitor's browser. The browser then automatically sends the cookie back to the server each time the visitor visits the site. Cookies are used to identify and personalize the site for each user.
Types of cookies by duration:
- Session cookies - they exist only during one browser session (they disappear when the browser is closed)
- Persistent cookies - remain in the browser for a longer period of time (days, months, years) until they are manually deleted or expire
Cookies are most often:
- Custom cookies - set directly by 7virides.com
- Third party cookies - set by the services used by the website (Google Analytics, etc.)
2. Categorisation of cookies on the 7virides.com website
Category 1: Technically necessary cookies (without consent)
These cookies are necessary for the technical transmission of communication and the basic functioning of the site. According to Act No. 127/2005 Coll. (ZEK, § 89 para. 3) and GDPR do not require consent users.

Provider: Borlabs Cookie 3.4 (CMP plugin)
Objective: Saving the user's cookie consent choices - which categories of cookies they have accepted and which they have refused

Legal basis: § 89 (3) ZEK - technically necessary for the administration of the consent
What is being stored: User selection (accept/reject), timestamp, hash options
Google Tag Manager (_dc_gtm_*)
Provider: Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited for EEA)
Objective: Controlling the loading of third-party scripts. GTM itself does not collect personal data - it is a "container" that runs other scripts based on consent.

Objective: Keeping the user session while browsing

TranslatePress — jazyková preference (trp_language)
Provider: TranslatePress (plugin pro překlad webu)
Objective: Ukládá jazykovou preferenci zvolenou návštěvníkem v dialogu pro automatickou detekci jazyka, aby se při dalších návštěvách zobrazil obsah ve správném jazyce

Legal basis: § 89 odst. 3 ZEK — technicky nezbytná pro jazykovou funkčnost
Category 2: Analytical cookies (require consent)
These cookies are used to analysing user behaviour, counting visits and understanding how people use the site. They are not essential for basic functioning, but they help the administrator to improve the content. Require explicit consent according to § 89 (3) ZEK and Article 6/1/a GDPR.
Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
Provider: Google LLC, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA
Objective: Traffic analysis - number of users, pages visited, sources of visits, type of facility, length of stay.

Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6/1/a GDPR)
What's being sent to Google: IP address (anonymised), device and OS type, browser, language settings, time on site, referrer.
What NOT to send: Full IP address, no special categories of data, user name or email.
Transmission to the USA: Yes. Legal basis: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) - Google is certified. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Data retention time: GA4 stores detailed user data for a period of 14 months. After expiry, the data is aggregated and the individual records are deleted.
Google Consent Mode v2: The web implements Google Consent Mode v2. If the user refuses consent, Google only accepts anonymized "pings“without identifying cookies.
Category 3: Marketing cookies (require consent)
Currently, 7virides.com does not use any marketing cookies (Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, etc.). If they are implemented in the future, they will be included in the cookie bar and will require consent.
3. Cookie bar and consent management
The first time you visit the site, you will see cookie bar. Contains:
- A brief explanation of what cookies the site uses
- Button "Accept everything“ - all non-technical cookies
- Button "Refuse everything“ - only technically necessary cookies
- Link "Detailed settings“ - individual choice
Ground rules:
- The "Accept All“ and "Reject All“ buttons have the same visual prominence
- Close bar without option = analytical cookies remain off
- Scrolling through the web not Consent
- There are no fields pre-ticked
Withdrawal of consent
Consent to cookies can be withdrawn at any time. There is a permanent link in the footer of the website "Cookies settings“which will reopen the cookie bar.
Recording consent
The website records the time at which the user gave or refused consent, which version of the cookie policy they have seen, and their IP address. These records are used to prove consent.

5. Specifics of Google Analytics and transfer to the USA
Anonymisation and data protection
7virides.com is active in GA4 IP anonymization - the last octet of the IP address is automatically obfuscated. Google Analytics does not allow you to track a specific person by name.
Transfer Impact Assessment (TIA)
The Administrator has carried out a risk assessment of the transfer to the USA. Risk mitigation measures:
- IP addresses are anonymised
- No special categories of data are stored
- Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework
- GA4 data is retained for a maximum of 14 months

Individual browsers allow the user to manage cookies directly in the settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage cookies

8. Changes to the Policy
The Administrator reserves the right to change this Policy if cookies, providers or legal requirements change. In the event of a substantial change, newsletter subscribers will be notified by email.
